Halcyon Class Minesweepers HMS Halcyon
Lt Commander C H Corbett-Singleton

...and finally Corbett‑Singleton of HALCYON, like a huge sheep‑dog with a shy, sleepy manner, that did not prevent him from winning a double D.S.C. in the course of the war, or from sending ‑ a lightning flash of relieving humour - my favourite signal of the whole voyage. Just as the news had been passed from ship to ship that our convoy had to scatter, he hoisted, "Now I know what the Itie fleet feel like!"
