National Day
October Revolution
Day was observed without ceremony at Polyarnoe. On the evenings of 6th, 7th
and 8th November special concerts were given by a company from Moscow,
organised by the ENSA system. On the 8th patriotic and party speeches were
delivered as a curtain raiser of some hours duration...
Films
The British films
sent to the base have been exhibited and received with warm appreciation by
both Russians and British, especially Robin Hood and Snow White.
